Eric is on his way back to Iraq now. This morning was rough on me. I was quite sad. I went into Kenzie's room to wake her up & help her get dressed.
She looked at me & said, "Mommy, what is wrong with your face?"
I replied, "What do you mean?"
Kenzie said, "Your face is red & you have drippy eyes."
I said, "I'm sad because Daddy is leaving."
Kenzie says, "Don't worry, Mommy, he will be back soon & I'm still your best friend." She then looked at me & sad, "I'm sad too."
That made me drippy too. Keep doing fun things with Mommy and Emmie and the time will go by fast. Daddy will be home soon and you will all have lots more fun together.
